Stop by UMW SAE Stress-Free Zone and join UMW’s Office of Title IX in Coloring & Consent! Pick up some fun coloring pages and chill out as you color.  Don’t want to take your work of art with you? Leave it in our submissions box at the kiosk and we’ll share it to social media or possibly use it for future event fliers!  Want to hang onto your coloring? Open House for the Office of Title IX and Center for Prevention and Education, November 8th, 4-6pm – Are you curious about UMW’s new Center for Prevention and Education? Been hearing extra buzz around campus about Title IX? Stop wondering and stop by Fairfax House to find out! On Wednesday, Nov. 8th the Office of Title IX and Center for Prevention and Education will be hosting an open house from 4-6pm.  Pop in to enjoy light refreshments, celebrate the opening of our new space, and learn more about what’s happening in our department. We will be on hand to answer questions and hand out resources, and will even have a couple art projects going on so you can leave your mark on our new space.

DV Awareness Month and Red Flag Campaign (October)

Save the Date for the upcoming events surrounding Domestic Violence Awareness Month and the Red Flag Campaign.

The Red Flag Campaign (October) The Red Flag Campaign is a public awareness campaign designed to address dating violence and promote the prevention of dating violence on college campuses. Through posters, fliers, and flag displays throughout campus, this campaign encourages students to recognize the “red flags” of dating violence. Hosted by the DV Planning Committee.

Visit on and off campus resources for sexual violence support. Grab some ice cream, take the YES is the KEY pledge, and explore the tables for information and toppings.

Sexual Assault Awareness Month (All Month)

Please join us at any of the Sexual Assault Awareness Month events. This year’s theme is “Shatter the Silence!” We hope to increase awareness, support survivors, combat sexual violence, and Shatter the Silence during SAAM 2016.

Take Back The Night (April 13th @ 7pm, Steps of Lee Hall)

Their mission is to create safe communities and respectful relationships through awareness events and initiatives. We seek to end sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, sexual abuse and all other forms of sexual violence. (RAIN/ENDING LOCATION: HCC DIGITAL AUDITORIUM)
