In October 2021, the U.S. Department of Justice’s Office on Violence Against Women (OVW) awarded the University of Mary Washington the Campus Program Grant to Reduce Sexual Assault, Domestic Violence, Dating Violence, and Stalking. The Coordinated Community Response Team (CCRT) is a team of key individuals and agencies from across UMW’s campus and the greater community.

Law Enforcement Subcommittee
This subcommittee hosts law enforcement training seminars on various topics related to preventing and addressing sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking on college campuses. Under this committee, plans are developed to ensure continuing police officer training on the most up-to-date best practices.

Student Conduct Subcommittee
This subcommittee supports the Title IX Coordinator with Title IX; ensure appropriate education and training; coordinate and review UMW’s investigation process, response, and resolution of all reports under the policy; and ensure appropriate actions to eliminate Prohibited Conduct, prevent its recurrence, and address its effects.
