The University of Mary Washington Ombuds Office serving both campuses providing a safe place where all UMW staff, faculty and students can seek advice and assistance to pursue a resolution of any college-related concern through a neutral party. UMW Ombuds services are independent from the formal grievance processes that are provided by the Office of Human Resources. The Ombudsperson reports trends in conflict to the University President but keeps confidential all individual contact. The Ombudsperson attempts to resolve issues that may arise between members of the University community.
